Lynn Daker was born in Delaware County, Iowa in 1922 and enlisted in the US Army in 1942. He went on to become a B-25 pilot. At the time of enlistment he had completed four years of high school, was single without dependents, and listed office clerk as his occupation.

He was shipped to the South West Pacific Area in 1944 and joined the 345th Bomb Group during the time that it was moving from Nadzab, New Guinea to Biak Island in Dutch New Guinea.

I found records of twenty-six flights piloted by him in the historical records of the 345th Bomb Group Association.

His last recorded flight resulted in a ditching off Cadiz, Negros Island when an engine froze up. All of the crew, except for engineer/turret gunner SSgt Desire W. Chatigny, Jr., were rescued by Catalina the same day.
