On this map, squadron designation is indicated by the color of the map pins, which were selected based on the engine cowl colors of the 345th’s four squadrons: yellow for 498th, blue for 499th, red for 500th, and orange for 501st.
The loss locations look to be mostly evenly distributed across the map, but there seem to be some minor clustering of squadron losses in certain areas.
Clicking on a map dot will bring up a pop-up containing some information about that airplane and loss.
