In early May 1945, the 345th Bomb Group made a short inland move from San Marcelino to Clark Field on the island of Luzon. While they continued to fly ground support missions in northern Luzon and strike missions to Indochina and the Hong Kong/Canton area of coastal China, targets along western Formosa bore the brunt of their bombing.
As with other maps in this series, multiple missions to the same target areas are not displayed. Instead, one instance of a target is shown to maintain clarity and to allow for the labeling of locations. As always, place names are shown as they were during the 1940’s.
